Where to have a good brunch or breakfast in Ibiza

Whether you get up early or late, Ibiza knows that everyone in here has a different body clock while on holiday.
If you get up early you avoid the masses and can enjoy the island as if it was May or September and if you happened to go out late the night before, then you will find that most Cafés and restaurants do offer brunch:

Ibiza center

Hostal Parque

This hostal and restaurant is in prime position on the Plaza del Parque. You can sit and watch the world go by from the terrace. I often have bacon and eggs here on my way to work or order their Vitello Tonato for lunch.

La Cava

I often have breakfast here as they have a good affordable breakfast menu and then delicious tapas all day. It is right on the main square of Vara de Rey, and despite its modern rather over luminous interior, it is very popular with locals.

Whenever I have a late night out in town and get the munchies and want to sober up before driving home, this place is perfect and serves food 24 hours a day. You will always find an interesting array of Ibiza workers, local police, post party people here grabbing a bite before bed or when they have woken. I like their egg, bacon, salad sandwich with chips.

> Av. d’Ignasi Wallis, 14, Ibiza

Croissant Show

Owned by Andre, an island character who stands out a mile with his curly French moustache, this is a lovely place to sit in the morning sun with your first coffee of the day. They have a large display of delicious fresh baked pastries, and my favourite here is the brie and tomato toasted baguette which I often have for brunch. You also often catch the after party crowd here for breakfast on no sleep!

Bar Flotante

I love my bacon and eggs with a side order of chips here. They also do a great omelette which my daughter loves. This basic little Spanish restaurant sits literally on the sea edge, thus its name, “the floating bar,” which is meant to suggest that when the storms come in the bar almost gets washed away.

> C/ de Talamanca, Talamanca . Tel: 971.190.466

El Deseo

A great mexican restaurant beside the church in Jesús.
They offer a great breakfast here and the Tequila is optional of course!!

Apart from breakfast, they serve really good Mexican specialties all day. The decor is cosy and cute and it is always packed with residents and locals. I love their Mexican style Bloody Mary. They also have a Juice bar.

Casa 13 Piadina

My love from Bar 1805 took me here last summer for a hangover breakfast and it has now become a firm favourite of mine. It’s the sweetest spot in the área, and Alessia the owner has a smile that always lights up my day and from the little porch you even have a bit of a sea view. It’s the cutest!

Playa d’en Bossa

Forty Fives Bistro Bar

This is a Brit Bistro facing the sea that serves all your favourites for breakfast and brunch if you are feeling homesick for the UK. On Sundays they do huge portions of Sunday roast with all the trimmings and puddings or fish and chips if you prefer.

Live sports on the TV inside for those of you that want to eat by the TV.

Lana Love has created an undisputed top health restaurant here on this touristy strip- and right before Ushuaia. Offering a wealth of raw, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, as well as a varied selection of juices and smoothies.

When I am extra-starving I have her not-so-healthy full English breakfast that comes with sausages, bacon, hash browns and baked beans, but I also love her pumpkin, feta, broccoli and rocket salad

San Jordi

Vinyl Burger

The tastiest possible comfort food comes courtesy of Larry from Barcelona and Pablo from Ibiza. Their ‘broken eggs on sautéed potatoes with baby chorizo’s along with a Bloody Mary is the most delicious and effective way to cure a hangover!

They also do a variety of gourmet burgers and the Mozzarella de Búfala salad is incredible.
